Lesmurdie Baptist Church exists to gather and grow keen followers of Jesus Christ in faith, love and service.

Our Vision

We see a large regional church deeply woven into the fabric of the Hills and Foothills community, touching lives with love and hope, and making a difference in the world.

We see a growing, vibrant community of worshipping Christ-followers energetically and joyfully using their gifts and resources to serve God’s kingdom.

We see attractive, modern facilities housing diverse congregations, ministries and community activities.

Our Values

We Value Scripture

Because we believe that God’s Word is the primary means of life-change and spiritual transformation; because we believe that God’s Word is the foundation of all Christian ministry; therefore we value the preaching, teaching, reflection on and application of Scripture in our lives personally and corporately.

We Value the Presence of God

Because we believe that the Holy Spirit is the power of life-change and spiritual transformation; because we believe his  presence and guidance are essential for fruitful Christian life and ministry; therefore we value and seek the presence and guidance of God in our worship and prayer together.

We Value Life-Long Spiritual Growth

Because we believe that full devotion to Jesus Christ is normal; because we believe that Christian life is a journey of discovery and maturity; therefore we value life-long growth in mature Christian character, in faith and knowledge, in love and healthy relationships as we journey toward the goal of Christ-likeness.

We Value Stewardship

Because we believe that full devotion to Jesus Christ is normal; because we believe that Christ has called and commissioned us for participation in his own mission; therefore we value stewardship of our resources, including our time and money, our gifts and talents for the sake of the mission to which we are called.

We Value Team Ministry

Because we believe that we are better together than we are on our own; because we believe that every Christian has special gifts and grace they are called to share with others; therefore we value serving God together in teams, celebrating our diversity while maintaining our unity as we seek to faithfully serve God and advance his kingdom together.

We Value Cultural Relevance

Because we believe that all ministry must be contextualised if it is to be understandable to those outside the church; because we  believe that we are called to give our very best to God and others in service; therefore we value excellence in presentation, and creative and innovative forms of ministry which enhance our communication of the gospel to those we seek to reach.
