Our services generally last for about an hour and 15 minutes and include times of singing praises to God, a talk of about 30 minutes based on the Bible and focussing on some aspect of practical Christian life, some prayers, announcements and an offering. We often include other elements in our services, such as multi-media presentations, a short report of important information, baptisms, the Lord's Supper etc.
People from all over the Hills area - Lesmurdie, Kalamunda, Forrestfield, Wattle Grove, Bickley, Walliston, Gooseberry Hill, High Wycombe, Helena Valley and even further afield! We also love the fact that we are a strongly multi-generational church with every age group well represented. What a privilege to be part of that!
Children generally stay in the service for the first ten or fifteen minutes, before going to their Kidschurch activities or creche. Parents are asked to collect their children immediately after the service. In accordance with Safe Church practices, pre-school children must be signed in and out of their activities by their parents. Trained first aid workers are rostered in the children's ministry areas at every service.
After each service morning tea is available. Guests are invited to come to The Connect Lounge - an area in the foyer with a few tables and chairs where you can meet some regulars while enjoying a brewed coffee and a tasty treat or two. There is also an Info table at The Connect Lounge where you can ask questions, find information etc.
You will not be asked to identify yourself publicly, sign up for life or even to participate in the offering! You are our guest, and our hope is that you will experience and be blessed by the presence of God and the warmth of his care when you visit.
If you arrive a few minutes early you should have no problem finding a parking space on the verge or street around the church. There is also a grassed area for parking at the rear of the church (entry via the driveway off Varley Street).
