At LBC it is our aim to be doing small things with great love. One of the secrets of fulfilment in life is the opportunity to make a contribution to someone else's wellbeing, to make a difference in our world so that it is a better place because we have been here. It may be volunteering in a local school, doing some gardening for an elderly neighbour, taking time to really listen as a friend pours their heart out. Whatever it is, just do it! Your contribution does matter. You can make a difference in this world and in your community. Look for opportunities to show kindness. Develop a habit of doing good. The world will be a better place because you are in it and God will be glorified. Jesus said something pretty similar to all this: Let your light shine before others in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
In the Kingdom there are roles for all. God has a special role and a special purpose for you, which might include serving His purposes within LBC and within the Hills Community. Rick Warren, in his book The Purpose Driven Life, makes the point that "you are not saved by service, but you are saved for service". We invite you and challenge you to seek God's plan for your service. Perhaps you will find it in one of the ministry areas listed here.
