Mentoring in Schools

mentoringWe have great schools in our community and count it a real privilege to be able to be involved in our school communities in a number of different ways. One of these is through Mentoring and Volunteer programs arranged either through the school chaplain or directly through the principal and staff. Under these programs volunteers go into local schools for an hour a week and spend time one on one with a student or working with small groups according to the needs identified by staff. The time may be spent in a variety of ways ranging from doing some extra tuition provided by the teacher through to spending time playing games, reading or simply talking with students.

If you are interested in volunteering or in finding out more contact the office and leave a message for Karen Siggins  (include your email address if possible) or email karen.lbc@iinet.net.au .
